This week, Maestro Kenneth Andrews interviews Scott Lavine, Principal Timpani/Keyboard and Charter Member; Professor Emeritus (Music Education), Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam; Conductor, Northern Symphonic Winds; former Director of Bands, Norwood-Norfolk Central School.  One of Scott's most memorable days with the orchestra involves the Phantom of the Opera and a Bobcat.  Find out the connection on this week's Tuesday Talks with the Maestro!

Our Beyond the Stage Performance this week comes from ONNY flutist Lauren Zwonik. Zwonik performs Frank Martin's Ballade for Flute and Piano. This 20th century work is the epitome of intensity; it is a political protest piece on Switzerland's view of the (then recently forming) Second World War.

For this week's Beyond the Stage performance, Sara and Donald Pistolesi, ONNY musicians from Montreal, perform the Pizzicato Polka by brothers Johann Strauss II and Josef Strauss. Both musicians hope to see you soon once ONNY returns to the stage!

Each ONNY concert requires moving equipment to—and setting up at—each venue.  This week, Tim Savage, interviews two of the Orchestra's Board Directors, who volunteer their time to make this happen: Steve Bateman and Marc Boyer, Board Directors, major donors, and ONNY’s Volunteer Crew for Transportation and Set-up of the Orchestra.
