Ben Strange, born in South Carolina, has been a fan of classical music since the age of 10 when he discovered Johann Sebastian Bach and lost all interest in such passing musical enthusiasms as Glen Campbell. He teaches Latin at Indian River High School, as he has done in four other states since 1980.
